RULES,
REGULATIONS & GENERAL INFORMATION
Membership Eligibility:
-
Initial Membership:
A USGA handicap index of
17.4 or lower is required. (A minimum
of 15 scores must be posted within
the qualifying year.)

Continuing Membership:
A USGA handicap index of 22.4 or
lower is required
at the end
of the second and subsequent years to maintain
membership.
-
Leave of Absence:
A member in good standing may request a
leave of absence from the treasurer and/or
president. Dues must be paid for the year.

Discontinued
Membership:
Any member who has not requested a leave of absence
and/or has not paid Dues by April 1st will be
ineligible to join the WRDGA that year and will be
required to meet initial membership & first year
eligibility as
described above to rejoin the district in future
years.

Honorary Memberships: An honorary membership may be granted to
any past member of the WRDGA who has made a
significant impact on women's golf within our
district. (Contact secretary to
nominate.)
Dues:
-
$40.00 annually
as billed by
the WRDGA treasurer in
January.
-
Dues to be paid by
March 15th.
-
Dues submitted after this date for ANY
reason will incur a $20.00 Late
Fee.
Tournaments:
-
Entry Forms for each tournament
are contained in the booklet.
-
An Entry for a
tournament WILL NOT
be accepted if received prior to the
tournament 'opening' date or after the tournament
'closing' date as indicated.
-
Entry fees are noted on each
tournament entry form and checks are to be made
payable to "
WRDGA " and must be mailed with
entry form.
-
Entry Forms must be initialed
indicating acceptance ot the rules set forth by the
association for each event.
-
Entries
submitted after Entry Deadline will incur a $10
Late Fee.
-
Notify Tournament
Chairperson with ANY changes after Entry
Deadline.
-
When a tournament is
oversubscribed, the field is limited to the
lowest handicap players, except for the 2
person mixed and 2 gal best ball, which will be
determined by a lottery.
-
Club representatives are
not eliminated from any
tournament if their attendance is required at the
Annual Association Meeting following play.
-
Those eliminated from an
event will be placed on a "waiting list" and
notified by the golf chair based on order of handicap
index if space becomes available.
-
Those so
eliminated may choose to show up at the event and will
be allowed to play if space becomes available that day
for any reason.
-
Cell Phone Use: All
phones must be on vibrate during tournament,
and will only be allowed for emergency
use.
-
Slow play: There will be
a 2-stroke penalty for each person in the group/groups
that turn in their scorecard 45 minutes after the
first scorecard is turned in.

Championship
Qualifier: The field may be
limited depending on the host club. Those
who qualify for the championship are responsible for
their cart fee for each day of match
play. Those playing first day only must
indicate on their entry form. (They will be paired by
handicap and will play in last tee time
groups.

Pro
Ladies:
Lowest 3
WRDGA handicaps play with their pro. If any of the
three lowest cannot play, the next lowest
handicap is eligible. Any club with 4 or less members
may add members from other WRDGA clubs, to form a
team. All teams are eligible to compete for prizes.
The club pro and at least one member must be part of
the team. If three players from a club do not have a
pro to play with them, they may invite
another pro from a WRDGA Member Club to
play.

Captain's Cup:
Players are chosen by the point system
established.

"No Show" Policy:
If a player fails to notify the tournament
chair prior to her starting time that she is unable to
play, that player is ineligible to participate in the
next scheduled event and no refund will be given such
player.

Entry
Checks for the following reasons
will be destroyed:
-
if a player has notified the
tournament chair at least one week prior
to the event that she will not be playing,
or
-
if a player is not eligible because of
tournament field selection,
or
-
if a player has an emergency, the validity of
which will be determined by the tournament
chair.
-
Caddies: Allowed for any
event; however, a player who rides in a cart
with a caddy is responsible for the additional
cart fee for such caddy on the date of the event.
Entry fees include player-only cart fees and are based
on two players using one cart.

Maximum
handicap for any tournament is 18 for net
results.

Dress
code: Please
comply with the dress code of the
hosting club.

Inclement
Weather: Any question as to whether an
event will be played due to weather conditions the day
of such event should be directed to the pro shop.
Please do not call the tournament chair for this
information.

USGA Rules will govern
all play. The following local rule also applies: An
embedded ball may be lifted, cleaned and dropped,
without penalty, through the green in accordance with
Rule 25-2, page 71, of the 2006-2007 Rules of
Golf.
CAPTAIN'S CUP ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS &
POINT SYSTEM
The Annual Captain's
Cup event is a Ryder Cup format tournament played
against the Women's Syracuse District.

player's gross or
net category for gift certificate
award.
